Tokyo

I don't think I ever dreamed to see with my own eyes Japan, and still this year I have been given the chance to:) As before I have directly experienced Asia only through Sri Lanka and India, seeing a bit of Japan was such a different world to see.

Tokyo is just amazing and very very different... It has an amazing balance between the traditional part, with its imperial palace, famous gardens, temples or shrines, and the very modern part, with the last technology, busy commercial areas or skyscrapers.

It is strange to feel on your own 'skin' how it is to be in place where you have no idea where you are. Everything becomes more complicated when you can't read the map or the name of the streets:)

More than that I found very strange to be in a sacred place and do not know what to do, what you should do to pay respect to the place…Probably it’s the first time I see a Buddhist temple…

Overall I think what impressed me the most besides beautiful places in the city was the attitude of people, extremely respectful, polite and careful towards you, combined with a power to strive for excellence and be humble in the same time.
